A week from now...

In a week from now I will not have to work, I will get to spend the whole day with Kodi and my family, I will get to spend Christmas Eve with my parents for the 1st time in 2 years, I will get to teach Kodi how to open her first christmas present, and I will be happily waiting for Christmas morning to arrive. This year is very different for me. Since Andrew and I got married we were on our own for the holidays. Now thats not true we had the most wonderful Christmas's in Las Cruces. We got to be together, be with amazing friends and abopted families. I really feel the need to make cookies and take them to the firehouse just like the Allred family does each year. I also feel the need to just stay home with Andrew and Kodi on Christmas eve and make everything myself. But a lot has changed, I am really grateful for my families, and I mean all of them, if you are reading this you know who you are. But enough with me feeling a little emotional, you can't really blame me considering I am 17 weeks prego!

Kodi loves the Christmas tree and would be all over it all the time if I let her. I am so excited to see what she thinks of Christmas. She is just so much fun and she is so smart and crazy. Last night I was sitting in the front room reading a book while Kodi was playing with her toys. She decided to walk down the hall to her room. It was about 7:00 and the hall light was turned off. Then all the sudden she is running to me just screaming and crying carrying her favorite lamb stuffed animal. She was scared of the dark! Ha ha. She had gone in her room to find her lamb and then when she realized that is was pitck black in there she got scared. The second I picked her up she calmed down and was just fine. It is just so neat to watch her decide that the dark is scary or that when a dog barks its scary. I had no idea that little kids were so aware at such a young age.

Can you believe it Kodi will be one next month. I can't! She is my little baby, but I guess since we will have another one coming soon she needs to grow up just a little. I love the holidsay season and want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!.

Pictures of Kodi to come soon

Thanksgiving

I realize that Thanksgiving was almost a week ago but I needed to add this into the blog just for fun. We had a really nice day at Andrew's parents house. Andrew's sister Shelly and her whole family were there as well as Andrew's brother Michael and his family. A few other people that were there were Amy, Jessica, Grandma Darrington, and Grandma Tolman. So it was a house full. We all said what we were thankful for. I personally am super thankful for the fact that I graduated college this year and that I have a great job. Andrew decided to take a different route which is ok because I wanted him to be able to share our huge news. He told his family that we are going to be having a new baby. He or she will be due May 25 and I think I am finally excited about it. It took a little while to get used to but I think I am now. Kodi enjoyed her first thanksgiving. She could only have a few things to eat like a roll, some fruit salad and green beans, but she loved every bite. In fact she took a super long nap right after we ate and she didn't have turkey. But I think her cousins wore her out.
The rest of the weekend was also a really great one. On Friday I had to work, but I took some sewing project and worked on them since we were super slow. However that night we went over to my parents house to watch the Boise State game (which they lost, and I slept through). Nikki came over and I was so excited to see her. I really miss her!
Saturday we chilled at home until lunch time and then we went back over to the Tolman's house where Amy made us a super yummy lunch. It was pork loin sandwiches with Apple salsa and I have wanted another one ever since. Later that day Andrew watched the BYU game (which they lost!) and I crafted. I made some super cute holiday cards under Lisa and Amy's supervision. Thank goodness for sisters who are creative. But that was our wonderful weekend.
