Lights out!!!

So yesterday Kodi turned 9 Months old. Wow time sure is flying by. She is so big and smart. She is walking and crawling everywhere and she is so much fun to be around. On Saturday we were a Wal-Mart and Andrew just had to look at the TV's. He was telling me all about them and which one he liked. Kodi was being a good girl just sitting in the cart listening to us talk. Andrew was just rambling on about TV's and then clear as day Kodi said "NO". It was so funny. She was telling her daddy just what I wanted to say.

As for the title of this post our lights actually went out last night for over an hour. It was dark outside, really rainy, and there was a lot of thunder and lightening. I am really scared of the dark so naturally I did not enjoy the initial shock of sitting in the dark. But once we found the flashlight and lit some candles it was actually not that bad. The TV was off. No internet. Just good quality family time. Andrew and I got a chance to talk and just play with Kodi. She was so interested in the Flash light. Thankfully the power did come back on and we were able to have some heat. We are still not used to the cold temperatures in Idaho. They really make me miss Las Cruces.

This week is a super busy one. Wish me luck. I have loads of work to do, Cub Scout Pack Meeting, Family Party on Friday and A big birthday bash for Andrew's grandma on saturday. Not to mention Halloween and taking Kodi to see everyone all dressed up in her custome. It should be a great week though. :)

October is flying by.

I feel like this month is disappearing right before my eyes and I wish it would slow down. It seems like we are always busy. In fact kinda sad and kinda funny I did not cook dinner for a week. Between cub scouts, family gatherings, a baby shower, and Sunday dinner at the Davies house I just did not have a chance to cook. I mean we ate really well over the last week, but it was just a little weird to think of.

In all of Payton's emails he says that his mission is flying by and I totally agree with him. Ever since Kodi was born my days just run together. It could also be the fact that I am finally graduated from school and I am not worried about finals and home work and thanksgiving break. Now those were the days. Wait no these are the days I totally love hanging out with my family. It was so funny the other morning when we were loading Kodi up to go to her grandma house we had her all bundled up in her car seat and then she lifted up her blanket up with both hands and covered her face with it, then she pulled her blanked down and screamed. She was totally playing peek-a-boo with us. She just kept doing it over and over. Andrew and I were practically on the floor laughing out heads off. She is so funny and is always doing silly things like that.
She is so close to full time walking. Every once in a while she will stand up and walk across the room and I will think she is going to keep it up. But then she drops to the floor and takes off crawling.

Kodi is also finally getting some hair. And I am finding out that I wish she did not have any. Doing little girls hair is not easy, plus she only has enough to spike up. Eventhough she is still super cute.

Andrew is also staying really busy. He is still getting up every morning at like 5 am to do is P90X. He is amazing I would have given up a long time ago. But he is just super dedicated to losing weight and gaining muscle. I am very proud of him :) He is also working really hard on his writing. Every night he sits down and types away. Hopefully soon he will be sending something in to a publisher. Another thing that is going to happen is Andrew is going to start Grad school this spring. Personally I am not looking forward to more school for our family. But it is what he wants to do. He has decided to go into communications. Our primary class has made him change his mind about teaching. haha ha. Kids are tough. Especially when they are not your 0wn. So wish him good luck.

I am just working my days away. I really like my job, it gives me a chance to learn new skills and to be around others. I really wish I was a home with my Kodi but I also know that I am helping provid for her. My two callings are the main thing that is kicking my butt right now. Being in Cub scouts is like a full time job all in its self and I think I am failing at it big time. But the boys seem to be having fun.

It will be interesting to see what will happen over the next year. Hopefully something great :)

New Picture update

So I have been taking pictures of Kodi every chance I get and they are all so cute I am going to load this blog up today. So I hope you enjoy :)

These first pictures are Kodi in her possible Halloween costume. She loved wearing it and she would not let me take it off of her.

Kodi was falling asleep even before she ate.

Look at her index finger she loves to touch everything like this.

Kodi is very messy when she eats and the looks she was giving me on this particular day were priceless. I found a glow stick and Kodi just thought it was amazing. Always yelling at me even when I take pictures.

But usually I can get a big smile like this one.
