Life Change

Well Andrew and I are offically college graduates. May 8th, 2010 we got to sit through 2 graduations. One at 10am and then again at 2pm. It was such an emotional day for me. My baby got to see me graduate, which for some reason makes me really proud of my self. Kodi has no idea how many classes she got to go to with me. I am also really proud of Andrew even though he is not totally done with school yet he still has accomplished something great. Both our parents were there to celebrate our achievements. It was super nice of them to come. It was a little bit of double duty for them because they also helped us pack and clean our apartment. I really don't know if I can get down the other really emotional thing we had to do this weekend. But here goes. We had to leave our amazingly, awesome, wonderful friends the Allreds. I almost don't know what I will do without them. I went to them for everything. I mean who else Andrew get to make swords for, have man nights with, talk about "Willow" and other movies with, play games with, and Leah and my favorite thing which we always seen to do was talk about food. They are so fun and were kinda made for us as far as friends go. :)

As far as our drive to Idaho went Kodi was a champ. She slept most of the way and when she was not sleeping she would watch the horse trailer and the reflection on the back window. I really was amazed with how well she did. But that does not mean I am wanting to make another 1,000 mile trip with her any time soon.

Currently we are looking for jobs and turning in applications. I really don't want to leave Kodi during the day but I also really don't want to live with my parents forever. Ha ha ha. But what I have come to realize through the last few weeks is that life moves and things happen that we have limited control over, but we will always have amazing people to share our experiences with.

Skunks in Las Cruces

So Andrew and I have taken Roxie on a walk almost every day that we have lived in Las Cruces. The weather is usually really nice and our area is perfect for nightly walks. Since Kodi was born we have slowed our walks to almost none. But last night we decided to take Kodi and Roxie for a little stroll around the campus. Last summer we saw skunks almost every day but recently we have not seen any. Until last night. We were just walking along. I was carrying Kodi because I did not want to go to the trouble of getting her stroller out and strapping her in. Andrew was holding Roxie's leash. I was thinking that it would be nice if I never saw a skunk again while we lived in Las Cruces. And then Andrew started making a weird sound and jumped back almost knocking Kodi and I over. He could not have told me that there was a skunk. But then I saw it and quickly backed away. It was only a baby and it was running across the street towards us. They are quick little devils. Thankfully it did not notice us and it went on its marry little way and so did we. This is just another memory of the zoo NMSU campus is.

During Vicky's Visit

Today is May 1st and two days ago Vicky can to visit us before we moved from Las Cruces. Kodi has decided to do some really neat things while her auntie Vic came to see her. Yesterday she rolled for the first time. I layed her on her belly and she just rolled. Well the first roll was really slow, but after that every time I put her on her belly she was just right back on her back. I must be a first time mom cause I just think this is the greatest. Also Kodi is starting to play with her feet and she likes to stare at them. It is quite funny to watch her. Kodi has definately found her voice in the last few days. This morning Andrew and I woke up to her just jibber jabbering away. She makes such cute little sounds. Vicky also bought Kodi some boots and some pictures of her in them are to come shortly (well as soon as I re-charge my camera and take a picture). But we are super glad that Vicky came to visit us, she is a great friend and we will always love her.

Finally I am adding pictures:
